ZAMBIA
Ken and Lorraine
Enright started the Enright Flight
Ministries over 50 years ago. They carried
on untiringly until Ken's death in 2007. Their son, John and his wife, Kendra
were really piloting the mission for a number
of years so, fortunately, it will continue
under their committed service. Lorraine now
spends half of the year in her beloved Zambia
where her husband is buried. The other half
she's here in Florida. You can reach them
in one of the following ways: You can reach
her by letter at 1919 Jackson Lane, Port Orange,
Fl 32128 or John and Kendra at United Methodist
Church, PO Box 70839, Ndola, Zambia, Africa.
Their email is enright@coppernet.zm.
Feel free to contact them anytime. They enjoy
hearing from members of their supporting churches.

UMCOR
COFFEE PROJECT
“Good Coffee for a Good
Cause”
On May 4, 2004, the United Methodist Church
General Conference approved a resolution regarding
the use of Fair Trade Coffee. The Conference
acknowledged that coffee is one of the world's
most heavily traded commodities; and that
the small farmers who live in isolated communities
rely on middlemen to buy their coffee consistently
at the lowest price possible. Because of the
way the system is set up, the farmer's inability
to get a just return for their labor is guaranteed
and they are condemned to a life of extreme
poverty.
St. Peter's United Methodist Church is committed
to seeking economic justice for the world
farmers who are caught in the inescapable
cycle of poverty. We serve Equal Exchange
Fairly Traded coffee and tea at all of our
meetings, programs and Wednesday night dinners.
Please visit out Coffee Kiosk on Sunday mornings
to purchase your favorite blends of coffee.
Come and shop for economic justice. You may order your UMCOR coffee, tea, nuts, by email at the following email address, for pickup in the Breezeway the following Sunday. unajames@bellsouth.net

ROMANIA
Following the end of communism in Romania
in 1989, thousands of children were abandoned
and left in the care of the state. City orphanages
were over-run with un-wanted children and
these kids suffered from a lack of proper
care and affection. Treatable and avoidable
diseases and disabilities were rampant. In
1996, Global Hope was founded with the mission
of providing hands-on Christian love to the
orphans and abandoned children of Romania.
Today, Global Hope owns and operates three
children’s homes in Arad, Romania. We
have taken children directly out of the state
system and placed them in a more permanent,
family home with Christian house parents that
love and care for them. Global Hope also ministers
to abandoned children and run-aways who live
on the streets. Sarah Davis follows the Gibbles
as the resident missionary in Arad. She is
eager to correspond with any of you who would
like to know more about their work in Romania.
You can also be pen pals for the children
or send them birthday cards.. Email Sarah
at sedavis4484@yahoo.com,
send her a card or letter at Strada Constitutiei
Nr. 136, Arad 310246, Romania. Visit the web
site at http://globalhope.org/.
