Rainer and Sheila celebrate the completion of 19 years of service at St. Peter's! Rainer has served as Senior pastor of St. Peters since 1992. Born in Maine, but raised in Miami, Rainer and Sheila are both South Florida people!

Rainer graduated from Asbury College in 1973 with a BA degree in Biology/Secondary education. That's right! He was a science teacher in Miami for three years before he answered the call to prepare for the full time ministry. Upon graduation from Asbury Theological Seminary in 1978, he was appointed as Associate pastor of Anona UMC in Largo, Fl. He and Sheila have served churches in Miami Springs, and Ormond Beach before coming to St. Peter's.

Rainer & Sheila have two children. Jennifer is married to Josh Fulmer and they have two sons, Wesley Owen and Benjamin Felix. They live in Clermont, Fl where Jennifer teaches at Pine Ridge Elementary school. Wayne is married to Katie and lives in Stuart. They have two children, Claire Nicole and John Felix. Wayne is an attorney in West Palm Beach with the firm of Perlet & Shiner.

Sheila works for the Florida Department of Transportation (Turnpike Enterprise) as an Administrative Assistant. Her offices are in Stuart and Port St. Lucie. When they have time, they both love to travel, Rainer enjoys motorcycling and has named his 2005 Harley-Davidson Road KIng - "Visitation!"

Rainer and Sheila have enjoyed seeing St. Peter's grow over the years and are confident that this wonderful family of faith will continue to grow.
